In Kolkata, India, Ken Endo from Japan earned his 6th title of world puzzle champion and helped the Japanese team to dominate the team competition too. In a very closely contested competition, last year’s world champion, Freddie Hand from the UK, finished in second place, while Christian König from Germany took third place (for the second time, following Beijing 2024).

These same players also helped their countries win team medals. Following Japan in first place, Germany took the silver, while Great Britain secured the bronze – a first for them in WPC history. Congratulations!
